Im Na-Yeon (임나연 imnayeon), better known as Nayeon (나연 nayeon) was born on September 22, 1995 (age 29) in Seoul, South Korea. She is the oldest member, lead vocalist, and face of the South Korean girl group TWICE. She debuted as a soloist with IM NAYEON on June 24, 2022.

On September 22, 1995 in Seoul, South Korea, Nayeon was born into a Christian family that consists of her parents and younger sister by three years, Im Seo-yoon.
Career[]
Pre-debut[]
Nayeon secretly tried out and passed JYP Entertainment's 7th Open Audition and became a trainee on September 15, 2010. In 2013, she was cast as a member of 6mix, a JYP girl group that was planned but never debuted. Prior to Sixteen and her debut as a member of Twice, she appeared in few television advertisements and in several music videos of her label mates, including Jun. K's "No Love", GOT7's "Girls Girls Girls" and Miss A's "Only You". She also made a cameo appearance in the second episode of KBS2's 2012 Korean drama Dream High 2. In 2017, she, along with Nichkhun, starred in the music video of Jun. K's "Your Wedding".
On May 5, 2015, she became a contestant on JYP's survival show, SIXTEEN.[1] She finished the survival show in 2nd place, hence becoming a member of the girl group TWICE.
2015-present: TWICE[]
On October 20, 2015, Nayeon debuted with the mini album The Story Begins as a lead vocalist and face of TWICE.
On May 19, 2022, a teaser photo was posted on TWICE's social media accounts announcing that Nayeon would be making her solo debut with her first mini album, IM NAYEON, on June 24, 2022.[2]
On April 9, Xsportsnews reported that Nayeon was preparing for her June comeback. JYP Entertainment stated that no release date has been decided as of yet.[3] On May 11, it was reported that she would be having a comeback on June 14.[4] On May 13, Nayeon revealed her second mini album Na.[5]
